How does Paprec stand out?

In Saint-Perdon, France, Paprec is the leader of a recycling group responsible for processing two-thirds of the region’s public waste. Every day, they process at least 70 tons of waste, or around 26,000 tons per year.

What happens to this waste?

1. Arrival and sorting: household waste spends 36 hours in a large tube before passing through an automated sorting system. This isolates food waste, which is ready for composting.

2. Composting: over the next six weeks, the compost undergoes a series of heating phases to achieve the perfect consistency. A Menart SPM-63 self-propelled turner is used to turn the windrows 12 times, and the compost spends 3 months in the facility.

What is the end product?

Paprec produces 12,000 tons of high-quality compost every year!

This is an excellent example of how innovative recycling not only reduces waste but also contributes to sustainable agricultural practices!
